WFTV Classes

If you live, work or go to school in Damascus, Milwaukie, Oregon City, West Linn, Wilsonville, and Unincorporated Clackamas County, you are eligible to take classes for no out of pocket cost.  You can take these classes as many times as you would like.  The actual cost to you is copy of your program to air on the public channel!

There are three basic classes.

1) Basic DV Camera -

You will learn how to use professional grade field  cameras.  Once certified, you are allowed to check out a camera for a 24 hour period after becoming a WFTV producer.  Four people per session.

2) Basic Editing

We offer Adobe Premiere Pro on a Windows based system, and Final Cut Pro on our G5 Mac.  You will learn how to use this software to edit your video.  Two people per session.

3) Basic Studio Production - You will learn how to create an in-house production within a controlled environment.  Studio work is beneficial for green screening, music videos or discussion formats (such as LIVE shows, forums, workshops and interviews) where you need to control light, sound and picture quality.  This class is recommended for a crew of three people or more (preferably eight).

Advanced classes are available for one on one time with an instructor.

All classes are two hours in length, and set by appointment only.
